A perfect getaway with stunning views and plenty of privacy on the expansive lake. The temperature of the water was refreshing, ideal for swimming, and renting water toys added to the adventure. Meals at the Cookhouse were delightful, particularly the cottage cheese and cocktails with a view. A minor downside was the limited availability of some rental equipment, but the overall experience overshadowed that.

This place was just a good match for a brief pause in Shasta Lake with outstanding value for money. We appreciated the pet-friendly policy. our dog stayed in his crate while we were out fishing, which made things easy. Consider asking for a room with a fridge if that's important for your stay.

The houseboat rentals offer a unique experience, providing amenities that make for a comfortable stay while enjoying the joys of nature. The location grants immediate access to outdoor recreational activities like fishing on the expansive lake, complementing the convenience of having a lakeside bar and restaurant for relaxation.
Rooms show signs of age with dated decor and small bathrooms that might not please everyone. The Wi-Fi can be sporadic, making it less than ideal for those looking to stay connected. Additionally, if you're hoping for laundry facilities, you won’t find any, which could be a hassle for longer stays, especially if you've got kids or pets with you.

Perfect for family fun!
The staff was incredibly friendly, helping us with everything while we were at the dock and reassuring us about our boat rental. One night, we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant where the burgers were so good I couldn’t stop thinking about that Bloody Mary Slider!
It wasn't exactly a bargain but worth every penny.
